VALENCIA ORANGES were first introduced by the Spaniards,and are the world's most popular orange. Their rich, golden, juice has a flavor that is unmatched. Valencias are Florida's best juicing orange. Valencias are also delicious to eat sliced in wedges we call "smiles", or in a cool, fruit salad.
You'll love their flavor, especially when combined with our sugar-sweet, Indian River Grapefruit.
Note- It happens every Spring! Warm springtime temps trigger the trees to flush new leaves. This annual re-greening process draws Chlorophyll into the peel of the fruit as the new foliage emerges. Any greenish tinges on the peel are just chlorophyll and do not affect the flavor or ripeness of your oranges.
(Chlorophyll contains antioxidants that may have healthful benefits. Considered seedless, Valencias have few seeds.)
