Al's Family Farms Privacy Statement
Information
Collection & Use
Account
Information
In
order to place an order with Al's Family Farms (AFF), at the end
of your order you will complete an order form, and create a user
name and password. During this process you are required to give
contact information (such as name, mailing address, e-mail address,
etc.). We use this information to ship or contact you about the
products on our site in which you have expressed interest.
Once
you have set up your account information, you will periodically
receive information from AFF regarding your order, special offers,
and our seasonal catalog.
AFF
is the sole owner of the information collected on www.alsfamilyfarms.com.
AFF collects personally identifiable information from our users
at several different points on our Web site.
Orders
If
you purchase a product from us, we request certain personally identifiable
information from you on our order form. You must provide contact
information (such as name, e-mail, and shipping address) and financial
information (such as credit card number, expiration date).
We
use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders.
If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information
to contact you.
Surveys
or Contests
With
our customers interests in mind, we may provide you the opportunity
to participate in contests or surveys on our site. If you participate,
we will request certain personally identifiable information from
you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary
and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this
information. The requested information typically includes contact
information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic
information (such as zip code).
We
use this information to make sure we are offering the best quality
items to our customers, meeting the customer's needs, and getting
feedback on the quality of our shipments.
Uses
of Information
While
information is the cornerstone of our ability to provide superior
service, our most important asset is our customers' trust. Keeping
customer information secure, and using it only as our customers
would want us to, is a top priority for all of us at AFF.
- We
will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and
confidentiality, any information our customers share with us.
- We
will limit the collection and use of customer information to the
minimum we require to deliver superior service to our customers,
which includes advising our customers about our products, services
and other opportunities, and to administer our business.
- We
will permit only authorized employees, who are trained in the
proper handling of customer information, to have access to that
information. Employees who violate our Privacy Promise will be
subject to our normal disciplinary process.
- We
will not reveal customer information to any external organization
unless we have previously informed the customer in disclosures
or agreements, been authorized by the customer, under contract
with a third-party supplier, or are required by law.
- Whenever
we hire other third-party organizations to provide support services,
we will require them to conform to our policy standards and to
allow us to audit them for compliance.
- We
will attempt to keep customer files complete, up to date, and
accurate. We will tell our customers how and where to conveniently
access their account information (except when we're prohibited
by law), and how to notify us about errors, which we will promptly
correct.
We
will continuously assess ourselves to ensure that customer privacy
is respected. We will conduct our business in a manner that fulfills
our promise.

option not to receive these types of communications.
Personally

only for the purpose of fulfilling your order with AFF. For instance,
we do have other parties that ship non-citrus products that we do
not ship from our main facility. These companies are legally prohibited
from retaining, sharing, storing or using personally identifiable
information for any other purposes.

We
reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information
as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary
to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding,
court order, or legal process served on our Web site
Choice/Opt-out
We
provide you the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having your personally
identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask
for this information. For example, if you purchase a product but
do not wish to receive any additional online marketing material
from us, you can indicate your preference on our order form. In
order to opt-out of some services (annual catalog, gift list, etc.)
you will need to call our offices at 1-888-617-6703.
